When the construction of the school building commenced, the premise of the Vidyalaya was temporarily shifted to an abandoned garage complex in Boiragimoth, Convoy Road, Dibrugarh .
In the year 1984 VKV - Dibrugarh continued functioning at Khaliamari. The number of students increased every year and construction work continued simultaneously to keep up with the burgeoning members and activities .
Finally the school shifted to its permanent location at Vivekananda Path, East Chowkidinghee, Dibrugarh in the year 1985.
